Sept' 09 publicity shoot
Portraits, environmental portaiture and fashion.
"I am primarily drawn towards taking pictures of people because of the stories that they tell... or, in my case... the stories that they can tell. I say this because, rather than conventionally trying to take a portrait that directly reflects that person, I am drawn towards manipulating the subject into becoming somebody or something else different to how they usually appear, or to compliment a theme unlike their normal selves. In a way, I see my subjects much like actors when I am shooting for the moving image."
June 2010 issue.
Does what it says on the tin! Everything that isn't what the other one is.
"Although people and their surroundings, and the drama of character and concept, are what interest me the most, I am sometimes drawn towards other subjects that present themselves from time to time. It can be something as simple as a sunset, or experimenting with texture, shape, colour or form... or, as in the case of a printing press I was at recently, how a location can be captured and treated (this location reminding me of a Fash Gordon from the black and white serials)."
